The number of short sales and foreclosures is on the rise; because these types of transactions are likely to make up a larger percentage of the real estate opportunities in the coming years, it is important that licensees have a good understanding of the risks inherent in these types of situations and transactions. By becoming more familiar with the potential pitfalls and problems which can and do occur in these transactions licensees can develop strategies to reduce risks for both clients and real estate professionals.
